Our Imaging Center

Rather than sending patients to an outside facility and waiting days or weeks for results to filter back, GNI has operated its own imaging center since 2003. The center is located across the street from GNI’s primary Macon office and staffed by four technologists who collectively bring more than 100 years of combined experience to every scan. It is accredited by both the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), two of the most respected credentialing bodies in medical imaging.

Faster Answers, Better Continuity

Because GNI’s surgeons and imaging staff work in close coordination, turnaround times for results are faster, follow-up imaging after procedures requires fewer office visits, and the consistency of assessment improves when the same team is reading your scans from initial diagnosis through post-operative care. Forget traveling to Atlanta or visiting multiple providers—our capabilities and coordination lead to unmatched care no matter where you are in Middle Georgia.

Why Integrated Diagnostics Matter

For patients with neurological and spinal conditions, the diagnostic process is not a formality — it is the step that determines whether surgery is needed, what kind of surgery is appropriate, and where precisely the problem lies. GNI’s approach to diagnostics reflects the same philosophy that governs the practice as a whole: that patients deserve access to the most accurate, thorough information possible, delivered efficiently and close to home.

Because GNI’s surgeons review imaging results directly and work alongside the technologists who produce them, the interpretation of a scan is not a one-directional process. The team can adjust imaging protocols, order additional views, or add electrodiagnostic testing based on what they see developing in a case. This level of coordination between clinical and imaging staff is difficult to replicate when care is fragmented across multiple providers and locations.

For patients in Middle Georgia who might otherwise need to travel to Atlanta or a larger academic medical center to access this level of diagnostic capability, GNI’s on-site center represents a meaningful difference in both the quality and convenience of care.
