Dr. Sourabh Lahoti, MD
Dr. Lahoti is a board-certified neurointerventional surgeon specializing in minimally invasive, endovascular treatment for stroke, brain aneurysms, carotid artery disease and related conditions.
Dr. Lahoti serves as the Medical Director of the Neurointerventional Surgery Program at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center, where he has been entrusted with leading the effort to establish it as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. He is among the few neurologists in the country to hold triple board certification in Neurology, Vascular Neurology, and CNS Endovascular Neurosurgery.
Neurointerventional procedures, such as those performed by Dr. Lahoti, use endovascular techniques that require only a small incision, as opposed to highly invasive open brain surgery. These minimally invasive processes reduce the risk of complications and dramatically decrease recovery times.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Lahoti is passionate about medical education and research. He will be rejoining Mercer University to continue teaching and mentoring future physicians. His research has been published in respected peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He has also received awards recognizing his contributions to resident education.
