Discharged with full brace , pain management appointment scheduled six weeks 2-24-26 @ 11:30 .

My brother and I took my dad in for a follow up appointment. First interaction, I had a chance meeting with Dr. Johnston in the elevator. He provided a warm casual morning greeting that included a “well wish for a great day”. Unbeknown to us that he was our physician and in such common area before his floor, it was unknown that we were coming in to see him.
Then the patience of the staff with my elderly father as he slowly made his way to the visit room only to then say he needed to go to the restroom has been unmatched, but appreciated. The nurse was very accomodating and welcomed him to take the time to relieve himself back. to the bathroom in the waiting room.
Our visit with Dr. Johnston was quick and to its points. It was our surprise that the joyful fellow in elevator bay happened to be the physician we were there to see as Dr. Johnston cheerfully greeted us in the visit room. The news to follow was positive and an overall good outcome of scan reviews. The genuine interactions with Dr. Johnston and his staff just felt welcomed, informed and courteous.

From the front office to the back office everyone was kind and courteous. Dr. Johnson is amazing and I would highly recommend him. Such a pleasant experience.
It was my first visit to Dr. Johnston' s office. His team was very efficient and I was being seen shortly after I arrived. Dr. Johnston was very much on track with the diagnosis and offered a comfortable path forward. I'll be sending friends his way!

My visit today with Dr Johnston was very pleasant. The staff was cordial and prompt. I felt listened to by the Dr couldn’t have been better!
My only complaint is difficulty finding the office. Hard to find address never did see a name I recognized. After stopping at two wrong places I found a lady who knew where it was!

From the front desk to the doctor, everyone was so nice and friendly! I have never liked a doctor so much in the first visit or felt heard like I did with Dr. Johnston. He and his staff are amazing!
Dr. Kim Johnston has been involved in neurosurgical patient care for over 30 years. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of spinal disease and deformities, spinal and brain tumors, and trauma.
A Macon native, Dr. Johnston is a graduate of Valdosta State College. He received his medical degree in 1981 from the Medical College of Georgia. Following a general surgery internship at the Medical College in Augusta, he also completed his residency in neurosurgery there.

Dr. Johnston is a Physician Advisory Board member at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Navicent Health, where he also serves on the hospital’s patient care and human resources committees. Dr. Johnston has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and has addressed many neurological seminars across the country.
Having lived in Macon his entire life, Dr. Johnston is known throughout the community for his expert opinion and excellent surgical skill, as well as his kind demeanor and gentle bedside manner.
